There's a particular kind of satisfaction in clearing the last enemy and seeing what a complete disaster the room has become. The guns have a lovely, ugly bark, and the soundtrack makes every frantic exchange sound far more dramatic than it has any right to. Even the brief silence after a fight feels earned.
The full game is already unlocked in this version, so there's plenty of room to keep chasing those messy little victories. The combat can be merciless, but the snappy hit feedback makes it hard to stay annoyed for long. Half the fun comes from surviving the firefight; the other half comes from looking at the aftermath.
