The matching rules are straightforward, but later boards can be surprisingly mean if you clear the wrong tiles too early. A bad move can choke off the useful spaces, which is where the boosters earn their keep. Story scenes arrive in small portions between stages, so the pacing works nicely for a few quick rounds without burying the player under dialogue.
The character side works more like a bit of flavour than a heavy narrative commitment. Unlocked currency and Unlimited Booster remove much of the usual waiting around for resources, letting the puzzle loop move along at its own pace. A decent fit for players who like match-3 puzzles with a character-driven side, especially when short play sessions are the goal.
